Exhibition as Conversation is a contemporary art exhibition and community project based on the works of five artists from Estonia and nearby countries. The project is based on Ph.D. research by curator Hanna-Liis Kont, which focuses on experimentation with conversation as a curatorial tool. The primary aim is to find ways to exhibit art that deals with current social questions in a way that would promote dialogue between artists and members of community groups and other professional fields that relate to the work.

The exhibition is accompanied by a programme of conversations and dialogic activities, which consist of five thematic sections inspired by the works by the artists. The dialogue partners involved in the programme are members of the communities related to the themes of the artworks – for example members of the South-Estonian Roma community and elderly people living in the periphery in Estonia, as well as experts from related fields (i.e. researchers in sociology and literature).
